About Garden City
Garden City is home to the “World’s Largest” outdoor, man-made, concrete swimming pool, known as “The Big Pool.” It measures 330 feet by 220 feet, holds 2.2 million gallons of water, and is large enough to accommodate water skiing. It was built in 1922 as a solution to the area’s hot summers.
To get to the airport Garden City Regional Airport (GCK) serves the area. For a larger hub, drive east on US-50 E to Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport (ICT), which takes approximately 3.5 hours.
